Oh - I suppose you don’t know who The Beast actually is. She’s a 1979 Lincoln Continental - a 2.5 ton behemoth of an automobile, 0-60 in about a minute and a half, laden with smog hardware and hamstrung by 1970’s emissions regulations. When Mrs. Fish was a little girl, she asked her dad, “Daddy, can I have that car when I get older?” He agreed, and true to his word, he kept it even after he had purchased a newer Lincoln for a regular driver. A couple of years back, Mrs. Fish had me put my tax refund into getting her back on her feet, and she’s been in my garage since the early summer of 2015. Fall 2015 is when she caught fire, but I fixed her wiring over the winter (hooray for experience with a soldering iron!) and have been working through the rest of her reliability issues one by one so that I can be assured of her operational status, at which point I can spend money on fixing her appearance and luxury options.

Wow. Such a tank sounds like it would get about four gallons to the mile on fuel. /s
