There are a few kernels of reason buried in that ideological turd.

We need comprehensive immigration reform.

We need a DACA-style amnesty and we need better control of our borders.

This would all be easier if we simply had a mandatory universal national ID card for all citizens and legal resident aliens. This would be cheaper than building a wall, and when implemented, seriously reduce any sort of welfare or public services fraud, or illegal employment, while serving as as a valid ID for all elections to minimize voter fraud.
