True confession: I’ve never bought a rotisserie chicken in my life. Anywhere. But if anyone asks, I’ll be happy to tell them where I’ve been.

We (and by “we”, I mean my partner) have a Mardi Gras party every year, or used to, at any rate. She’s an unbelievably talented cook and grew up in New Orleans, so the food is, what’s the phrase?

Oh, yeah: FUCKING AWESOME.

Anyways, a lot of the dishes require chicken, which she was dutifully cooking up every year. She had a thunderous epiphany a few years ago: “Why the eff am I cooking all of this chicken when I can get two Costco rotisseries for $10???”

We had never bought them either, prior to that. Now? Get ‘em every two weeks and make two meals out of them.
