Weirdly, Cuomo was attacked for not counting the number of people dying outside hospitals, while the CDC numbers covered at-home, hospice, and nursing home deaths as well. The CDC ultimately counts all those deaths. People die at home. How they’re counted is dependent on the death certificate cause of death, and that can vary widely.
