To me it just seems popular music isn’t as good as it could be. But then I was always more into what used to be called “underground” music back in the day. Plasmatics, Joy Division, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Clash, PIL, etc. Some metal as well; Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Motrhead and what not.

I do like some older hip-hop; ‘Fear of a Black Planet’ by Public Enemy, Ice-T’s ‘O.G.’ and N.W.A’s ‘Straight Outta Compton’ are three I enjoyed immensely. ‘Straight Outta Compton’ blew my mind when I first heard it back in 1988.
