Ah right, I can never get my locations right in SoCal. :-/
Los Angeles is a big place. 10 million people live in Los Angeles County, including our humble host.
In L.A., it’s a lot like Denver; if you know where the mountains are you can orient yourself. Thing is, in Denver it’s one goddamned mountain range to the west. In L.A. there’s mountains that run north/south *and* east west so you have to orient yourself to those mountains accordingly.
And don’t even get me started on the concrete jungle south of downtown. :-P
