I know it is easy to take your view, but I’m going to count on some damn humanity out of a couple Republicans.

Also, remember all those townhalls over the spring months and all the dancing Republicans were doing to try to prevent the heat they were taking back home? Not all of those people demonstrating and calling out Congresspeople were Democratic Resistors.

Some of the politicians even tried to regulate who got in and still got some heat. It is why they started doing call-in town halls or just plain hiding by not taking calls, refusing to open their office doors or bullshitting.

The other thing…this IS about health and everyone of every political position needs insurance coverage. So they can talk all kinds of shit, but this means real stuff. Health can overcome politics is my hope.

The bolded is what I’m saying, that a couple (i.e. 2) Republicans will “break ranks” to oppose the bill, giving Sen. Yertle and Vizier Pence the margin they need to pass the bill. The secrecy it’s being crafted in will then be used as an excuse by vulnerable Republicans to insist they had no idea what it was they were voting for, they’re totally against the least popular parts of the bill, and they’ll “fix” it at some unspecified future date. The rest will just shrug their shoulders and say “You wanted me to kill Obamacare and I did it. What’s your beef?”
