My personal favorite complaint is that they have to drive further so don’t like gas taxes. You know, the ones that pay for the roads they do all that extra driving on that even higher gas taxes paid in those areas won’t come close to paying for because of the lower number of people driving on them.

I do get the fact they feel ignored. In a lot of ways they are. But living in a rural area doesn’t mean that you own the moral high ground any more than living in an urban area does.

And they whine about government…freely elected representative government in which many rural areas get a disproportionate share of representation in the Senate and in the electoral college.
