But almost any ordinary person can be transformed into a monster under the right conditions. Think of 1984’s daily 2 minutes of hate. You just have to come to believe that the opponent is the manifestation of evil and your side is fighting for truth. Those who have drunk the Fox Kool-Aid are no longer able to process facts and dismiss anything that doesn’t promote their fuehrer.
