That Trump and the GOP openly state they want to confirm a SCOTUS pick so SCOTUS can determine the election outcome should, all by itself, be reason to demand no hearings until the next president takes office.
If the GOP insists on proceeding, they should have to commit to requiring that the newly appointed Justice recuse from any ruling related to the election. Like Rehnquist did on the Nixon tapes.
Every single one should be made to go on record with this.
