I’d really appreciate a second opinion on the other videos I linked to. It the Youtube account of Normal Bob Smith (normalbobsmith.com), who has a website feature called Amazing Strangers (vids archived at Youtube under the name amazingstrangersnyc. He films events and weird people in New York public spaces.

Danny Cline—the guy seen yelling obscenities in the video—first turns up on September 3rd in a video called “Lotion Man” in which he argues with and threatens one of the homeless men (another fixture in Normal’s videos), applies sunscreen, attempts to drive the spike of an earring through his tongue, and then busks the cameraman for money. He is then filmed sleeping in Union Square. When he awakes he’s disoriented and doesn’t recognize the cameraman, then asks him for a lighter, repeatedly.

Short version…I not sure he’s a “protester.”
