Let’s be fair, here: Supposedly, the Soviet Union was set up with a similar system. Yet they failed to launch on at least one occasion. I have about 50% confidence that some well-meaning American serviceman would fail to pull the trigger, should Drumpf issue an order to Minot to let the birds fly.
