Six bucks well spent, in my eccentric opinion. Just got this in the mail, May 1950 Popular Science. Besides the report on the tragically ill fated DeHavilland Comet (then under test), it includes a nifty article on the special effects for the George Pal sci-fi adventure Destination Moon, and a bunch of really great ads.

Metal fatigue induced by the window geometry got the Comets, IIRC.
