I put on at least one Habitat roof each summer. Of course I wouldn’t do it if I got paid. (And yes, the roofers are often immigrant volunteers from the churches and trusty prisoners from our jails.)

Cannot hire a roofing crew of locals here.
Can’t be done.
It’s October before they start working.
