I can’t help but notice that a lot of outrage over the transgender issue seems to relate to trans women. I suspect they can imagine women want to be men (well, gee, who wouldn’t want to step up in life and be male!) But men who think they are women are obviously unhinged or playing some sort of devious game, and therefore very dangerous.

Just like the focus of homophobia is more directed at gay men. I think a lot of men feel threatened, for some reason I can’t fathom, by other men being different, in matters related to sexuality.
