John Lewis is definitely the finest. (He’s who I wanted to have at our fundraiser—I even offered to pay all of his expenses if they could get him. Sadly, he had another commitment that weekend.)

I was pretty sympathetic to Bernie supporters until they dissed John Lewis and tried to put Bernie’s civil rights activites on equal footing. As if. That was it for me.

Is it wrong for me to think that the Bernie and the Berners, as overwhelmingly white and male as they are, were not above using West and Turner as beards, just like the GOP, so they can say, “lookie, black people like us too!”?
