It’s not binary. Trump probably can’t go below 30% outside of tearing off his human suit at a speech and revealing himself to be a giant cockroach*. But the more his support dwindles to a hard core, the more swing district Republicans are freed to oppose him.

*And even then, there will be 25% who will welcome our new insect overlords
