True, but I just read that AP has called the race for Estes: the last breakdown I saw was 52-46-2, which will probably be close to the final figures. Good showing, of course, but it still means another (R) vote in Congress.

And FWIW, I disagree with the notion that more DCCC money would have “nationalized” the election: The local GOP would have been doing that in any case, running against whatever Democratic Big Bad Boogeyman they figure would scare the rubes into voting. More bucks for the challenger (subtly applied) might have made the race a real nailbiter, maybe recount territory, rather than just “close”. THAT would have given the GOP shitfits…..
