Many people cannot conceive of people not having a god or gods, and NOT feeling something missing.

Not to shit on believers, but I cannot count the number of times I’ve been told by Believers trying to get me to believe in their particular Invisible Friend that they knew how I felt, that they, too once had that emptiness in their heart, but now it’s full!

I point out, gently or not as appropriate, that they don’t live in my head, and they don’t have any idea what I do or don’t feel. And no, I don’t feel an emptiness.
