Texas gun range employee accidentally shoots and kills man while working on rifle
A Texas gun range employee accidentally shot and killed a man while working on a weapon Tuesday, authorities said.
Joshua Cummings, 36 was fatally shot when the employee’s hunting rifle accidentally went off at the Hot Wells Gun Range in Cypress after 9 a.m., the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies arrived at the range and found Cummings with a “traumatic gunshot wound.” Another employee told KPRC-TV that Cummings was shot in the head.
Cummings was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.
