I ran that to my back garage, didn’t want to dig in CATx. It’s been through a few generations and mine may not be the latest but it is fast enough to stream HD youtubes. It has more bandwidth than my ISP gives me at any rate.

I’ve been thinking about doing that to run from one side of my house to the other to hard-wire together the two main points of network access. I have the modem and router, the basement TV, and my PC in the basement on one side, and then on the other side upstairs I have the Mrs. Fish’s PC and the gaming consoles. Those currently run on wireless, but I’d love to get them onto a wired network… but that would be a disgusting run if I’m running fresh CAT5.
