re: #171 Dopamine Fish
Minnesota is a state of comparable size, and we have 255 people in ICU and around 1,000 total hospitalized for COVID. This is a particularly heavy strain on our ICU capacity, but so far we still have open beds in every hospital region in the state.
Scotland has about 70% of the total population fully vaccinated but there’s a current drive to get schoolkids aged between 12 and 17 vaccinated. Generally in Scotland about 85% of 16+ adults are fully vaccinated. The holdouts seem to be the Young Immortals, the 18 to 40 age group which are only 70% or so fully vaccinated with little sign of the number changing any time soon. Saying that there’s a push by the government to require vaccine passports for access to pubs, clubs, sporting events etc. and that may push the 18-40 age group vaccination numbers up a bit.
