This is yet another decision that proves Obama isn’t the flaming lefty people enjoy imagining him as.

It is possible for him to still be “that flaming lefty” but not reflect it policy-wise. I’m pretty sure that he was pandering on a little and naive on a lot. Reality cockblocked him and it probably started doing so the first intelligence brief he received after the primaries were decided. He is performing about as I expected, maybe a little better on foreign policy, but as expected on the economy.
