I am too tired to say anything interesting, but I agree with what you said completely. I just kinda meant that unlike other private enterprise, where profits are used to innovate in a way beneficial to both customer and business, health insurance companies and other middle-man (or rent-seeking, thank you Olsonist) companies innovate more ways to screw those at both ends of the transaction, so that they themselves can profit in the middle.
