Well, we’re about to find out what this does to the economy. People on unemployment are going to cut out all kinds of stuff. You can bet on it. Services and goods cut out by the unemployed, will trickle down through the economy laying more people off.

Ayep, and the GOP will crow about that, blaming the job losses on Obama, claiming the recovery never existed, and that continued deficit spending is what is causing further job losses, not taking what little money is in the hands of the unemployed away based upon the bullshit reasoning that the unemployed are “spoiled.”

And we got idjits like Tampa telling us that we should be, if not happy, then at least understanding that this is not the GOP’s fault, that if the unemployment extensions had been their own bill, well then they’d have passed without problem. That seems to be the excuse every time a bill crashes upon the rocks of GOP filibusters: They’d pass if they were “separate bills.”
