Belief in God as a Prime Mover behind the creation and laws of of nature is perhaps a superstition, but one that can be reconciled with most of modern science, as the two do not overlap.

Belief in God as an intervening agent in the day-to-day functioning of the world and universe is possible only by rejecting science and embracing superstition.
