A question for the group: Would Kerry have been vulnerable to being attacked for his war record had he not engaged in major anti-war activities after coming home? Because the real beef never seemed to me his war service; That service was maligned because of what Kerry did after he came home. But that’s a partial opinion of mine, not a formed conclusion, and I’d like the group’s input.
I need to leave soon, but you reply after I leave I’ll read it in a couple hours when I return.
I’m going to turn the question around here: why would it be acceptable to attack someone’s service because they decided, based on that experience, to support efforts to end the war?
