Sanders is a crank. A crank with some good ideas but a crank nonetheless. His campaign is desperate to win the first two primary states hoping the national tide will turn after that. They see a chance of that happening now and don’t want to jinx things.

Ayep, which totally runs counter to the whole “he’s the outsider, he’s the guy the establishment doesn’t like, and only he can bring you to the promised land” business that his supporters are constantly spinning. If his biggest fear is that the DNC will bar him from future debates, then obviously he’s not the “outsider” he’s trying to sell himself as.
