Oh yeah absolutely. They do seem like a genuinely happy couple and I agree with you about the optimism. What I meant was the fascinating with the Windors as a whole not merely Meaghan and Harry.

The Queen’s longevity may be one reason. Her family was in the press during WWII, when she and Margaret were still in school. She’s ruled since she was a teenager, and people have watched her children, grandchildren and now great-grandchildren grow up. She took to the new medium of television to make the royals less remote and isolated from everyday Brits. Her response to the death of Diana was a Big Fail, but people seem to have forgiven her for it.
