Warren took pride in the family stories of her possible Native American heritage. It’s not unusual for people to boast of their ancestral ties, however tenuous they may be, with other groups or people of note. What has she done to disparage Native Americans? It seems that it was only Trump who tried to do that.

A lot of her methodology is similar to “pretend-Indians”; never involved with a tribe, never registered with a tribe, not a supporter of native cultural efforts, but take a DNA test to “prove” their ancestry. For example, she did little work with native leaders on Standing Rock.

Native folks are VERY resentful of this sort of behavior, and it’s clear Warren isn’t cognizant of that resentment, which is not a good look.
