My observations of Trumpers tell me that exactly nothing will change.

And Trump has a complicit Republican Senate who are willing to let Trump burn down the country as long as their own power and wealth are untouched.

Oh I’m sure Senate and House Republicans will ride the bomb all the way down a la Dr Strangelove. And Biff may even remain in office until January 2021.
But I think this saga has gotten bigger than politics, and that we may well crack the GOP down to the 27% crazification coalition from its 40%ish support today. While also stoking the passion and power of the majority opposition. Which seems about what it took for the accomplishments of the civil rights movement to take hold.
I’m more optimistic today than I was two weeks ago. We shall see.
