While it’s not uncommon in our system for a Congressional party tofall apart in bitter recriminationswant to reorganize after an electoral shellacking, I’m not sure - outside of the general benefit of “disarray” - that this is going to be all that good a prospect for the next Congress (or later ones), inasmuch as whoever might replace McCarthy as Minority Leader is likely to be even more of a wingnut and obstructionist: if not an outright Qretin.
If Trump loses badly - and takes the Senate down with him (and who knows, maybe a couple of statehouses or governorships) - the recriminations within the GOP are going to start flying like the ICBMs at the end of Terminator 3.
