I am a gun owner.

I am a strong believer not only in the Second Amendment right of the individual to own firearms, but, under proper circumstances, individuals should be allowed to carry their weapons.

But, this guy is either a complete idiot (in the literal sense) or he is an anti-gun agent provocateur. No one can be that stupid to carry a gun and have a placard about watering the tree of liberty—at an event where the POTUS is going to be speaking. It’s akin to yelling “Fire” in a crowded movie house and claiming free speech. This is a man that did more damage today to gun owners than imaginable.

As for Sen. Specter, he had to know what he was getting into. There was a mixed bag in that crowd, to be sure. I think the concerned citizens outnumber the plants and if you look, you can spot both sides. But, this is got to be resonating with Washington—the American people do not want this and they certainly don’t want it jammed down their throats.
