Actually, if your brother is interested but doesn’t want his current fish eaten there might be a solution. The tetras and beta will be plenty happy in a smaller tank so you can just run a small tank off the big one connected by tubing. Then the chiclids would get the large space to grow in and the beta and tetras could still live happily. And they would all share the same filtration so he’d only have to get a small tank and hook them up.
