Just as they have done in Iraq and Afghanistan, the advanced sensors of the Predator recon drone allowed allowed the raid team to locate when the miscreant was hiding within a structure. This permitted the team (in this case a civilian agency SWAT team) to use an approach and tactics that allowed them to apprehend the lawbreaker without anyone being hurt or killed.

As an aside, while I recognize and share the concerns many people have about the overuse of SWAT teams, this kind of ‘dangerous entry’ mission is a legitimate SWAT assignment.

I have some concern about border enforcement resources being called upon by local law enforcement. I think too much of that leads to ordinary Americans getting unauthorized colonoscopies.
