I’m actually curious about that. Is he within his rights to refuse to contact certain members of the press? Or is he breaking some law by doing this?

I don’t think there’s a law against it, but stonewalling the fourth estate (who are supposed to be able to ask questions in the public interest) is colossally dumb for a “public servant.”
