It’s the most egregious things that has happened vis a vis the US government in my lifetime. And there has been some shit in the last 57 years.

I was absolutely stunned that Donald Trump even won the GOP primary. (That said, my wife planned long in advance our trip to Canada during the GOP Convention because when he entered the race, she was convinced he would win.)

While the Constitution is hardly a perfect document, I doubt anyone writing such a document could have foreseen a bunch of nihilists and madmen being elected.
