And Now, Baghdad Sean Spicer Bites the Dust

Greets and saluts from the resistance in the NYC metro area. The storms last night cleared out the humidity, and one can only hope that the coming storm of indictments (which aren’t likely to happen before next year in any event) will sweep out the GOP and their cabal of craven cronies.

The damage they’re doing is already taking a toll on people, and the need now is to limit the damage. The special election in GA-6 is today, and Ossoff v. Handel is the headline event, but there’s lots more to be done ahead of next year.

There’s the GOP still trying to push tax cuts for the rich as a form of health care reform (they cut health care coverage for millions, boost the uninsured rate beyond the pre-Obamacare days, and call it a day after rich folks get massive tax cuts) and they’re separately pursuing tax reform, which is yet another scheme to reduce the burden on the rich and shift all the burdens to everyone else.

Yet, the GOP can’t escape the gravity of the Russia-Trump mess, and it’s finally starting to penetrate the GOP derp.

This is key; if the GOP rank and file realize that Trump’s running for the other side - the Russians, then the GOP will have to engage in some serious pretzel logic avoiding the shit storm of their own creation by aligning with a guy who was so thoroughly compromised from before he even entered the race that it shows just how debased the GOP is as a party. They continue enabling Trump at every opportunity, and there’s no way they have clean hands in all this - that goes double for McConnell and Ryan.
