Yes, and that’s deeply fucked up too but so far I haven’t seen any info that Paddock did this work. And it is work, even with a jig it takes some machining skill and a mill to modify the receiver and then you’d still need an auto sear, auto selector switch and a auto trigger group. Bump stocks are far more insidious because you can just mail order them in most States^* and with a little practice you largely get the same effect.

^* California made bump stocks and other “multi-burst trigger activators” illegal to manufacture, use, import, sell or possess in 2010.
