Disagree: I think it’s the other way round: Netanyahu is a much smarter politician than most of the Pulpit Pimp crowd (low bar to hurdle, I know), and has figured out that the more Israeli policies erode their Jewish support base in this country, the more he should cultivate the RW “Xtians” - despite (or ignoring) their crank theology/Apocalypse fantasies.
There is little downside in American politics to being “Pro-Israel”, and Bibi knows it. He miscalculated a bit trying to end-run Obama
over the Iran deal: but he’s not likely to repeat that mistake.
