I’ve told this story before, but it bears repeating: when I was picketing that nest of wannabe murderers nearby* last year, I asked one of the male parishioners about the 50 percent of fertilized ova that fail to implant. Oh, he told me that they were as alive as you and me and that God had judged them from before the foundation of the world, thus some of these multicellular zygotes would go to heaven and some would go to hell. And it was completely up to the will of the Calvinist god. I may or may not have said, “That’s completely fucked.” (If I didn’t, I should have.)

You cannot reason with people caught up in that kind of crazy.

*That’d be Apologia Church, where the leadership is on record as wanting to execute women who have abortions.

So, wouldn’t the same be true for aborted fetuses, and 45 year old people and everyone else? How is that relevant to abortion?
