The true offense of Dan Savage was that he attacked the Bible with the term “bullshit”.

That is the greater offense.

That was an action of little sense. Even if he was sure he was right, he should not have said that. Going after the Bible like that causes many people to simply label you as a “Hater of Christianity”, and after you are so labeled they won’t listen to you. Honestly, this was a time to mince words and tiptoe through the tulips.
