If nothing else, armed insurrection by gun nuts is probably what it would take to put modification of the 2nd amendment (or its repeal) on the table.

They keep talking about “revolution”, they don’t seem to remember that the Civil War (which is what they are really talking about) didn’t work out so well for the Rebels. It did spurn more than one Amendment to the Constitution.
