A question for the group: Would Kerry have been vulnerable to being attacked for his war record had he not engaged in major anti-war activities after coming home? Because the real beef never seemed to me his war service; That service was maligned because of what Kerry did after he came home. But that’s a partial opinion of mine, not a formed conclusion, and I’d like the group’s input.

I don’t think so. AntiVietnam war protesters were common and have since been romanticized in pop culture. I don’t think his anti-war protests were much of a factor.
