The thing is, trump’s victory and continuing cult-like worship from his base belies “when they go low, we go high.” Going low won, because it’s what 62 million Americans wanted and tens of millions of others couldn’t be bothered to vote against. It’s as if “going high” was viewed as weakness, while trump’s vicious, sleazy bullying was durr-hurr alpha strength. I always knew people like that existed; I just had no idea there were so goddamned many of them :/

It’s just amazing that this was even close. Maybe Clinton was a weak candidate but we had an obligation to stop Trump. The people who refused to vote for her remind me of the German leftists who enabled the Nazis by opposing the SDP.
