The two sisters interviewed on CNN this morning had me sobbing as I was trying to get ready for work. One was hiding from the shooter and texting the other to tell their parents how much she loved them.

My hope is that these kids trigger a nationwide movement of students with the common purpose of getting government off its ass to do something.

Concern coming from potential victims of school shootings will be harder to ignore, especially if they put eloquent and media-savvy teens out front. And it may force more parents to get involved.
