One of the things I remember about my hospital visit was the nurse (with a heavy Germanic accent) telling me about the the stent procedure and saying “You vill be given something that vill make you feel in-diff-er-ent. Boy, was she right about that. I was awake for the whole procedure but I didn’t care. It was all cool.

The only thing I was nervous about before getting the LASIK done two years ago was the possibility of last minute jitters, sort of a “the only thing we have to fear” situation. So when they offered me an Ativan I took it. Figure it’s always wise to take all the drugs on offer when they’re going to blast your eyeholes.
