Yeah this guy was actually the son of a good friend of the head coach’s going way back to I believe their high school or college days. I miss Larranaga at Mason. My last semester was Hewitt’s first year so I don’t really have an opinion of him but Larranaga just was a character. He’s got this thick New York accent and likes to joke around with the reporters. I really hope Miami’s going well for him. While I was disappointed with the move, Fairfax, Va in winter or Miami, Florida. Easy choice and even easier one with the money he was offered.

I was always amused the few years I lived in D.C. (just south of Alexandria actually) how the sports coverage for college basketball in the Washington Post way outdid the coverage the Bullets got. Then again, with Georgetown, GW, Maryland, and Mason to cover that might not be so surprising.
