In their model the sun is actually much smaller and much closer. The moon is also a translucent disk or something. It’s utterly insane (I occasionally check a flat earth instagram feed for lols, Kelly Slater (yes, the surfer) is constantly in their comments debunking shit and making fun of them). They think the reason days are shorter (in the northern hemisphere) in the winter is because the sun has to move faster around the outside of the disk. They’ve never managed to explain why days are so long in the southern hemisphere in December - usually calling it a conspiracy or lies or some such. And given that millions of people live very far south of the equator, it’s a hell of a conspiracy.
