And from accounts I’m seeing this morning, Whelan actually convinced himself that this asinine theory he cooked up was actually more plausible than Professor Ford’s charges against Kavanaugh.

That’s a textbook definition of how confirmation bias works, for cryin’ out loud.

If Ford was pissed before, she’s going to come into that hearing room loaded for bear. And all of these entitled old men on the Judiciary Committee - Hatch, Grassley, all of them - are going to rue the day they made the calculation that getting Kavanaugh onto the SC was worth attempting to ruin a woman’s life to get it done.
